What is Swim Fit?

Swim Fit is an alternative way to work out in the pool.  It offers a mix of different routines – using different strokes, drills and speeds to give a great all round cardio and toning work out.  Swim Fit uses different training aids and provides lots of different challenges to keep you focussed and give a more targeted workout than traditional lane swimming.

Swim Fit Widths helps you to improve on stroke technique and Swim Fit Lengths provides a cardio workout as well as improving on stroke technique.

What will it do for me?

Swim Fit is a fun fat burning and toning workout that will aid weight loss and improve overall fitness and core strength.

Is it right for me?

Swim Fit is a low impact exercise that is suitable for everyone aged 16 and over and all fitness levels who are comfortable in the water, as your instructor will help make sure you are working at an intensity that is right for you.  However, if you have an ongoing medical condition or injury you should consult with your GP or medical practitioner before beginning a new exercise programme.

What should I wear?

You just need a comfortable swimming costume and a towel.  If you wish you may prefer to wear swimming goggle and hat.

What else should I bring?

You don’t need to bring any equipment – just a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Swim Fit classes are available at our centres in Rhyl and Ruthin.

When does this class take place?

You can check when all our classes are on our timetable. It is advisable to book for all classes.
